You can get anti-virus software from UIS. You should still run anti-malware (including virus) scanner on your computer because there are ways of getting infected other than via email. The email scanner is only a first line of defence. This relay runs software that scans email to protect the University against spam and viruses.
The majority of email in Cambridge (including email entering, leaving, and within the University) passes through a central relay known as ppswitch.
